Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronics Technician to join their team in Easton, PA. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position requires a blend of hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, as well as a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems of a simple nature, including identifying faulty components such as motors, fuses, heaters, limit switches, electrical motor clutches, and brakes.

  • Utilize basic knowledge of electrical controls and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to diagnose and address issues.

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical manufacturing equipment, including gear reducers, pumps, transmission clutches, and compressors.

  • Proficiently work with various skills such as welding, machining, pipe fitting, plumbing, metal fabrication, HVAC, PLC editing/troubleshooting, and industrial electricity.

  • Install, maintain, and repair fluid power systems and their components.

  • Calculate, cut threads, valve, fit weld, and install steam, pneumatic, vacuum, water, or hydraulic systems from pipe tubing to schedule 80 piping, ranging from 1/2" to 3" in size.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all duties.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of equipment and systems.

  • Complete documentation and reports as necessary.

 

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in a mechanical/electrical field (preferred) or 3 years of Vocational-Technical Trade School and High School Diploma/GED (required) with a minimum of seven (7) years of mechanical manufacturing support experience in high-speed process/packaging equipment or (7) years combined mechanical manufacturing support experience and Mechanical/Electrical education.

  • Proficiency in at least four of the following skills: welding, machining, pipe fitting, plumbing, metal fabrication, HVAC, PLC editing/troubleshooting, industrial electricity.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems of a simple nature.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical controls and PLCs.

  • Familiarity with fluid power systems and their components.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and overhauling mechanical equipment.

  • Valid driver’s license.
